About Us
Alot Hashachar is a unique, experiential program designed for soldiers who have been in combat, and for combat teams to process their experiences. The program seeks to provide a haven of in-depth professional support as soldiers undergo the complex transition from the world of combat to civilian life. We believe that concealed and buried within every experience, including the most difficult and traumatic, are seeds of growth, learning, and renewal. Our team of facilitators, made up of professionals from diverse fields of therapy and facilitation, accompany the soldiers on personal and group journeys of resilience and strength, emotional processing and empowerment, while fully honoring their experience, their personal stories, and group story.

Our Journey
Our journey is a deep traverse of empowerment and growth, that incorporates a variety of approaches from different professional fields. We work in soothing and empowering natural surrounds by the embrace of the open sea or in the peaceful expanse of the forest, which create a safe, supportive space that allow the soldiers to process, explore, and grow from the events they’ve encountered. Most of our journeys take place abroad, with the purpose of enhancing the shared team experience, conveying gratitude for the soldiers’ meaningful service to the country and its people, and to create an experience of detachment and distance from the background clamor in Israel, so that the soldiers can acquire a deeper experience of the process, the group encounters, and inner work.
Our journey does not view trauma as failure, but rather as a chance for renewal. From creative activity through to exercises in mindfulness, meaningful discussion circles, group work, and other advanced facilitation techniques, we help the soldiers reinforce the strengths in their personality and teamwork. Our journey also provides tools for coping with complex events, whether in combat or everyday life. The journey strengthens the team’s ability to accept help and support from one another, giving them a positive view of the future and of the personal and team challenges that lie ahead.
